Update from CCO: Help Support Our Horses Through COVID-19

You are seeing this blog post because you are part of the supportive community that Copper Cayuse Outfitters is so grateful for. Most of you even know how we operate, first hand. You have experienced the care and dedication we take with every tour, every horse, and every person we meet. One thing you may not know is that for those of you who have participated on a ride, you have helped us financially support the feeding and caretaking of our horses. That is why we are posting this update today, and we do so with a heavy heart...

Copper Cayuse Outfitters is in a position to be seeking support from our community due to the effects COVID-19 has had on our business. Please know that the well-being and safety of our horses, customers and our employees are our top priorities in every decision we make with no exception to this one.

We have started a GoFundMe to support our locally-owned and operated business. Due to the lack of revenue from tours this season, we are in a position where we will be lacking enough funds to feed our horses and have them looked after. Our guided horseback business has been devastated by COVID-19 and although we have been able to make sure our staff is OK, our horses still need to eat and be looked after.

We have 36 hungry hoofed boys that are the most expensive members of our family to feed. We have had to use all of our available cash to refund bookings made by our guest who had pre-booked for this summer and now find ourselves scrambling to find money to provide summer pasture and winter feed for the gentle giants that provide our living.

Please help these creatures we all love so much by donating what you can. For every dollar that you donate, CCO will match that amount and provide it back to you as a voucher that you can use to pay for any ride that you want to book after they open again when this is over. So, if you donate $50 you will get a credit of $100 to use on any ride you book in the future after they open for business again next summer.

We are so grateful to have an incredibly dedicated team at Copper Cayuse Outfitters and a compassionate loyal community of customers that make us all genuinely feel a part of one big herd. In times like these, we listen, we learn and we support each other. Every dollar counts.

Thank you so much for your loyalty to our business. We will take it one day at a time.

Take care of yourself and each other,
Don Coggins Partner, Copper Cayuse Outfitters
